Council could revert right now to the former .7 FAR building construction requirements which would halt monster houses in their tracks while the planning board lethargically deliberates about a new Master Plan. Instead, council has elected an in-your-face attitude toward owners and residents in favor of pampering the few builders who have recently capitalized on the over-sized houses. Despite protests by citizens, council wants to wait for the Master Plan. Insulting the voters typically has repercussions, and siding with rich builders over homeowners is a surefire way to inflame those voters.
