The middle class in this country was strengthened in the 40s and 50s thanks to the efforts of organized labor, and it saddens many to hear the grandchildren of that generation are so quick to sneer at unions and to favor right-to-work laws. Where would this group be now if not for the efforts of hardworking union organizers of the past?
