Do veterans get veteran preference when applying to Lower Cape May schools? If not, why?
Moderator's Note: According to Superintendent Christopher Kobik, "'Veterans Preference' is defined in the law as preference for gaining additional points on a civil service exam. Schools do not use civil service exams in the employment process and are not civil service employers. We certainly do, however, consider the dedication and selflessness that many of our veterans embody. Listing veteran status on resumes certainly enhances the applicant’s overall experience profile which is part of our employment process. Any citizen is certainly welcome to entertain these questions with me."
