Once again, a Letter to the Editor in a daily paper calls for a single government and school district for the entire island, written by a Wildwood resident, presumably to lighten his high property tax load. This flies in the face of several past studies which point to higher taxes for residents in the "other" Wildwoods. Consolidation might happen by new laws, but considering strong opposition in North Jersey suburbs, no one is holding their breath.
