As a prior member of the North Wildwood Volunteer Rescue Squad in the late 80's and early 90's, I want to say that we had a nice, formidable staff of over 15 members. We worked eight hour shifts, and part-timers worked four or six hour shifts. We were fully trained EMT's, but also included trainees into our staff, and had both a winter staff and always increased our staff in the summer. The city residents were never in peril of not having an ambulance arrive at a scene within minutes.
