I don't live in Lower Township but I am fascinated by the arguments about the location of the police station. I don't know the pros and cons of either location, but I hope folks realize that the location of the station is irrelevant when it comes to police efficiency or effectiveness. If the police officers are assigned patrol sectors or zones, that is where they belong, not at the police station, which should really only be heavily occupied during daytime hours by personnel assigned to investigative, technical or administrative duties. Police stations are very different from firehouses.
