It seems popular opinion is that public workers, including teachers and police, are overpaid, don't do a good day's work and get big pensions. Maybe we don't need public workers anymore? Maybe everyone should teach their own kids, fight criminals, put out fires, remove their own trash, rescue people in the ocean, etc., and get rid of all mayors and council too. The towns will run by themselves, right?
