Regarding the spout concerning legal immigrant workers benefiting the economy: I have no issue with hard working immigrant workers. However, a better solution would be to stop allowing American citizens to use government assistance programs as a "lifestyle." These programs were designed to provide temporary assistance. If abusers were dropped from the programs, they would be forced to take the jobs that immigrant workers hold now. That would benefit the economy and also reduce the incentive for illegal immigrants to migrate to the U.S.
