Cape May

The signs on the big bridge coming into Cape May from the Parkway read: "Walk bicycles on sidewalk over bridge." Some interpret this as meaning people can't bike on the roadway. I don't believe this is true. New Jersey is a 'share the road' state. Bikers have the right to use the roadway, except on toll roads and limited access highways. Because of these signs, I've seen people in cars yelling at bicyclists who ride on the road. I believe the signs mean that you can't bike on the sidewalk. This really needs to be clarified before someone gets hurt or killed from a case of roadrage.
