I really hope that most of the vendors at the new farmers market are actually selling farm grown goods. Cape May, Salem and Cumberland Counties are loaded with farms and I was wondering if the marketing person actually contacted the farms to join the market. In central NJ, the farmers will rent 90 percent of the vendor booths with fresh seasonal produce. In reading the article announcing the farmers market, it seems a majority of the vendors will not be farmers, so my expectations are not very high.
