FEMA's primary focus is to protect the dune structure in shore communities and L.T. is no exception. Do we need any more examples in the near past as Sandy and Katrina? We need protection from our politicians, specifically those in the majority in town hall. FEMA, as the other spouter noted, is to protect the citizens everywhere. The politicians will say and do anything that will please those who have a self-interest. Why else would dunes be destroyed for "their" definition of public safety?
