Thank you Cape May council for continuing to try to lower taxes in the city. We are 70-years-old, on a fixed income and we pay $3,231.76 in school taxes. We have never sent any children to the Cape May Township schools. This is our permanent residence, which we have saved for and dreamed of for many years. I guess others feel that we are rich because we live here. The reality is we are struggling, just like everyone else. Why can't everyone pay a more reasonable amount for the schools?
