The L.T. manager makes a major statement that there will be no tax increase this year. Then, he takes to political posturing that it was because of council and their great efforts. What about down the road with the infrastructure and equipment needed to provide services in the future? An eye doctor would attest that a near sighted view beats the realistic view of the future. Politicians think in terms of the today, and tomorrow will be the problem for other officials and the taxpayers. It is an endless cycle of not being responsible to their duties as elected officials.
