Steve Bannon is pushing for Trump to run again in 2028, saying that since his terms weren’t consecutive, the constitutional limitation of 2 terms doesn’t apply. What the Constitution says is that “no person shall be elected to more than two terms.” It doesn’t say “no person shall serve more than two terms…”. As Trump has spent four years insisting he was elected in 2020, and Bannon also says that, wouldn’t that make Trump ineligible to serve again?
