It appears that Americans have a very low bar when considering the merits of those who make their living off of the taxpayers as serving in the military. Having for decades being bested by rag tag militias. Defeated in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Shown the Door in Africa, Yet politicians, and citizens a-like continue to praise the mightiest fighting force in the history of the world. They are rewarded with pensions, lifetime health care, opportunities for 2 or more bites of the government apple retiring from 2 or more military careers. Yet winning is not part of their resume.
