The measles outbreak has been a long time coming. Schools no longer require standard vaccination, bowing to individual choice. To make a choice, you need to be educated in science, understand public health history, and have a modicum of understanding about medicine. Our public schools have failed in all of those subjects. We run our society on “I think, or I feel”. And the experts running the schools themselves are uneducated. Time for Science Month, Math Month, etc.. There must be core proficiency. In Philadelphia, attendance is so poor students are paid to attend. Not good.
