Yesterday, billionaire Jeff Bezos claimed that if you doubled his federal tax rate, it wouldn’t solve the revenue issues the USA faces. Yes, since he paid zero federal taxes in 2007 and 2011, doubling zero still gives you ZERO. The American 1% have the resources and tax loopholes to significantly reduce or eliminate their tax debt and underpay their fair share. This inequity will never been addressed under Republican rule. Sincerely, this independent voter encourages my neighbors to rethink their blanket support of Republicans like CD 2 VanDrew who won’t help you pay less in taxes.
