Tell me why an island the size of 5 mile, with about 15-20k year round residents, consists of 4 towns/boroughs not to mention a part of lower township? The entire island should be one municipality. Absolutely no need for multiple gov't administrations, police depts, fire depts, public works, etc... Do you know how much waste, cronyism and corruption exists because of these fiefdoms?!?! It's time for the indentured servants (i.e. taxpayers) of 5 mile island to rise and send the overlords packing. Our taxes would be halved w/o any loss to the quality of life we now enjoy. Wise up!!
