Cape May County

To all residents and visitors: I would like to bring “Sami’s Law” to your attention. It is to protect all residents and visitors getting into Ubers and Lyfts. It is a State law that every ride sharing driver must have a placard on both sides of the rear door windows. This allows the customer to see who the driver is, match the license plate and use a QR code to verify the driver. There are plenty of Ubers and Lyfts that do not have them on their cars. Please be careful when getting into such rides. Some drivers are using cars that aren’t registered. Just be careful this summer
