Wildwood - Wildwood hired seven new policemen. Good thing. Now we have to pay them. Not so good. It will be costly and our taxes will shoot up again next year. To offset this cost, we have to lay off un-needed positions in every department. Remember, we are a seasonal town. In an election year, it will be difficult to lay off friends and family who hike the budget up each year, but it is a prudent decision to be made. Cut them and save the taxpayers a huge hike. Don't lay off and retain all the employees votes to win the election for another four years. The city government controls a lot of votes.
