Wildwood - Wildwood is considering placing police officers on foot patrol on Pacific Ave. in the winter. Forget about it. It's too dangerous out there alone at night. On the midnight shift, they will find a nice, warm place to stay or just jump in another patrol car and ride about the city with a fellow officer. Better to put this foot officer in his own patrol car and have two police vehicles on patrol. Rotate patrolling Pacific Ave. in cars. They'll cover more ground that way. It's harder to keep track of an officer walking a beat than finding a patrol car. It's a good idea during the warmer weather.
