Why is any taxpayer money being used to renovate the Wildwood Bo

Wildwood - Why is any taxpayer money being used to renovate the Wildwood Boardwalk when the cost could be born solely by those who commercially prosper from its well being, along with the city's tourism tax that is collected from out-of-town tourists? The citizens of New Jersey should not have to pay the bill for private commercial endeavors of a limited group - that is socialism by definition. Stop asking government to solve private concerns.
