Wildwood - We are allowing the paid help to dictate our tax bills. Police and firemen receive too much compensation and benefits for what they do. It's busy three months a year. The rest of the year, it's slow. We have fewer, not because our taxes have declined but because they cost too much! Phila. cops and firemen make half and do far more.

According to statistics presented by Wildwood Police Chief Steven Long during the Board of Commissioners meeting July 9, in January 2014 alone, police responded to 2,592 calls for service, made 59 arrests and responded to 90 disturbance calls. According to Long, calls for service do not disappear in the off-season.
