Wildwood - Unlike a Stone Harbor spouter, I am opposed to eating more time and money on methadone. All that does is give addicts a different, legalized drug to be addicted to. Addicts cost huge amounts of money in social services, they destroy families and steal from everyone. Going cold turkey in jail is just as good a treatment as methadone clinics, and that protects the rest of us from the addicts. Nobody forced them to take heroin. Of course, in a society where we want to legalize drugs, you reap what you sow.
