Wildwood - Transgendered people in the military are not a good idea. The medical costs can be prohibitive and should not be borne by the taxpayers. Ask most serving members and they agree that actual or potential disruptions, expenses, and complications of allowing trans persons from serving far outweighs any benefit that might be revived by opening up service to this group that makes up less than 1 percent of the U.S. population. Lots of other people cannot serve for a variety of reasons and are not being treated as victims.
