Wildwood - There is every need for EMS to respond to "fire calls." Both are vital emergency services and should respond in a manner that is best for the people who are having the emergency. It is not about childish turf wars. Qualified, capable care should be dispatched and arrive in time to help resolve whatever issue exists. I believe all firefighters should be capable of providing at least basic life support. If the department has qualified personnel who are available they should be dispatched. Both organizations should be reminded who they serve; people in need.
