Wildwood - Taxes in Wildwood are about to go through the roof because of new hires, contract awards, and recent retirements with huge payouts. It has been suggested that the local purpose tax alone will be around 20 cents. This is outrageous! I see the police keeping busy stopping cars and the fire department busy with mutual aid to North Wildwood, medical assists, and public appearances (no fires), and I think it is time to scale back these departments during the winter months. We are spending too much on professional services that resemble those of a big city, when in reality, we are a small community.
