Wildwood - Taxes are high, but not because of police and fire. Look at the pie charts that come with your taxes. It's the schools. There's a superintendent at each school district making around $185,000, and principals making $145,000. Some have two principals per school. Not only do they get city money, they get federal aid, anywhere from $100,000, like Vineland, to $7 million, and still cry poor. Remember who you call when the house is on fire, when you have a heart attack or someone's breaking in. The days of volunteers are just about over. Mutual aid is not a guarantee.
