Wildwood - To the response last week to Anthony Monzo’s op-ed two weeks ago: I believe Mr. Monzo’s article can be summed up with his statement, “The only issue should be whose policies line up more with biblical principles.” In essence that is what my pastor undoubtedly will tell, and most evangelical clergy should tell, their congregants; not emphatically what party and whom to vote for. By doing so, they will respect the individual’s conscience but allow politics as well to be appropriately addressed during a service. However, clergy needs to teach and believers be informed what these principles are.
