Wildwood - In regards to article on Beach Sand, the issue that I haven’t seen addressed is that Hereford Inlet is in drastic need of dredging. At low tide Champagne Island almost touches the beach on the N Wildwood side. There is a large sandbar that fronts the entire beach of the inlet. This has totally ruined fishing in the inlet, I have fished that area for over 30 years and don’t even bother anymore. I can remember standing elbow to elbow with fisherman and today fishing is non-existent. If they would just dredge they could dump this sand in Stone Harbor
