The reason there aren't more people wanting to become volunteer

Wildwood - The reason there aren't more people wanting to become volunteer firemen is because most if not all departments are full of people who discriminate and "black ball" anyone who isn't a friend or family. It's very discouraging to those who really want to help but are turned off by the rampant nepotism, or good old boy attitudes. If you want more volunteers, get rid of the dead weight. I have never seen more dead weight than most career firemen.
