Wildwood - The reason all the paid firefighters in Wildwood are also volunteers is a well-known, hidden joke for years. Anytime there is a fire where the volunteers are called out, all those off-duty, paid firefighters who show up as volunteers then are automatically paid overtime as a full-time paid firefighter. This has been going on for years. Someone should OPRA the overtime seconds for the fire department and compare it to the fires where the volunteers are called out. It's our tax money.
