Thanks for the feedback. After much consideration, we decided to remove the thumbs because they could be misleading. It was difficult to prevent individuals or groups from taking measures to vote multiple times and skew the perception of public opinion. Your suggestion would likely result in a similar outcome. Spouters may express their thoughts on individual spouts by commenting beneath them, or by submitting a spout of their own in response.
