Wildwood - Monday morning, Aug. 3, I went by city hall to see the U.S. flag at half staff. I realize it was for the medic from North Jersey and realize there were no weekend hours so it could not be raised on Saturday. However, the state flag was not lowered. Is there a problem with City Hall not knowing flag etiquette? Can't we be proud enough of our country and those that served to do the right thing? But then my travels took me past the VFW and again, I saw the same thing. I am sorry but the respect for the flag and what it represents has been worth fighting for!
