Wildwood - I'm willing to bet those who like to be critical of the police never heard of Tennessee vs. Garner. Until that decision, police were legally justified in using deadly force against fleeing felons. Under the T vs. G guidelines, deadly force is only justified if there is cause to believe that the fleeing felon poses an imminent threat to the police or public if not stopped. That decision must be made in split seconds under adrenalin-filled circumstances by the police. The right to determine if the police were reasonable or not lies with the courts, not self-appointed critics.
