Wildwood - If you want to make the salary of a police officer, take the test, complete a 22 week academy, work shift work, miss holidays, birthdays, family functions. Get spit on, covered with blood, assaulted, and do not fight back. Don't pepper spray or use a taser and God forbid don't shoot anyone. Face critics everyday (until they need you). And do it all for next to nothing because you make too much. So come be a police officer and you too can be overpaid. Give me a break. These men and women deserve every dollar. I'm grateful we have them.
