Wildwood - I read with interest about responding units to a scene, posted by a Wildwood spouter. It is nice to have the luxuries of a big city in a small town such as Wildwood, but all at a cost to the taxpayer of which, only 20 percent are year-round residents. The end of year numbers look great; a proactive way to gauge the performance of the many departments working together but know this, if a police, fire unit, and EMS all respond, that counts as three calls for service. At the end of the year, personnel tripping over each other, showing up to monitor others actions, inflates the need as stated.
