Wildwood - I have to agree with the spouter who said that parents allowing their children to opt out of PARCC testing are creating, as he stated, "entitled brats." The way to score high on the test is to be good at basic subjects like Math and English. American students are given a soft ride, and graduation rates are treated as more important than performance. I feel sorry for teachers who are hampered by politically correct, "touchy-feely" regulations that prevent them from getting down to the basics and pushing hard, and even failing kids who don't work up to their capacity. Why fear hard work?
