Wildwood - I display my handicapped placard proudly on my rear view mirror, as most seniors do while driving. I was shocked when I was stopped by the police and told it was illegal. Apparently, it is written on the placard, and he was right. I want to thank the police officer. I was sent home with a warning and told not to drive at night. I now worry that I will forget to display it when parking. I now wear it around my neck on a chain. You'd be surprised how many people ask about it when I stroll the seawall. It is just a reminder and I think more seniors should wear it before they get a ticket.
