Wildwood - I agree with a Cape May spouter about the nonsensical pedestrian crossing law. From day one, it has been abused by pedestrians who now think it’s OK to walk into oncoming traffic. I have routinely witnessed and experienced many near misses due to drivers slamming on their brakes to avoid these irresponsible people. It’s only a matter of time before a chain reaction tragedy occurs on our streets. According to NJ.com, pedestrian fatalities in New Jersey increased in 2017 to the highest number in more than two decades. Clearly, the law is not working and needs to be repealed.
