Wildwood - A comment on the NFL protests stated, "I believe the protest was about the shooting of so many unarmed black men." I am a bit confused by that. Does the commenter mean the shooting of so many unarmed African Americans by other African Americans, a statistically valid observation, or the shooting of unarmed African American men by the police, not statistically valid? Does she perhaps believe the "hands up don't shoot" myth? People will believe what suits them, whether it is true or not, I guess. But the real threat to the black community is not the police, but young black criminals.
