The media pushes artists and entertainers, which includes pro-athletes, way beyond the majority of the public's interest. Entertainment is important for leisure enjoyment. But they are not heroes or vital to society, especially Kardashians. Rarely have I seen such publicity for pioneering, brilliant doctors or scientists. What sells news is what the media manufacturers and tells us is important.
