Wildwood - An Avalon anti-gun spouter is comparing apples to oranges. I'm not sure if more guns would lead to less violence with guns or not, but as opposed to accidents or disease in the spouter's car/mosquito examples, violence is driven by human nature. It is the human capacity to kill without reason or conscience that changes the equation. Let's not mix irresponsible, accidental or inevitable events with ones carried out deliberately. Guns may facilitate violence but they do not cause it. Face facts, we have used whatever tools were available to kill each other since the dawn of humanity.
