Wildwood - In answer to the question about rinsing recyclables, I'd say don't sweat it that much. It's still important, but since there are fewer buyers of recyclables and they are more stringent, it's not worth rinsing out a peanut butter bottle, or a salad dressing bottle, for two examples. A milk bottle though is easy, not much water needed, swish it around and recycle it. Pizza boxes are contaminated, so they are trash. Maybe the lid is free of oil stains, and sometimes I rip the box in half, bottom for trash, top for recycling. It's poor quality cardboard anyway, so. OK, toss the box in the trash.
