To a WW spouter who wasn’t clear about the parish being unattended: The asst. priest was in fact on vacation for the month of January in Columbia. The mission to Haiti was a project of other asst. priest, not the pastor. He was included sometime before the trip. With two churches, grade school and high school requiring attention, it would be beneficial to have a priest that is familiar with the parish remain available in the event of a crisis or problem. It was great to have the visiting priest but even better to have one of our own at home. Better planning and facts in the future may help.
