Wildwood received a COPS grant to hire five police officers. The grant runs out in three years. Will the city be prepared to continue paying salary and benefits for the five officers after the three years? Are the taxpayers facing another hefty tax increase when that time comes? Public safety is the largest chunk of our budget. Hopefully, our city officials plan ahead for us and start cutting unneeded expenses.
