There is a good lesson to be learned from the Wildwood spouter who can't get a job because of a 13-year-old misdemeanor conviction. The lesson is not to change the law to make it easier for people with criminal records to get jobs. But it is to teach people to do a better job raising their kids and teaching them that even minor issues can have major consequences. Of course, in today's world, that is pretty much a lost cause.
