To the spouter who thinks there is no need for paid, professional firefighters: Stating that only volunteers are needed is proof of how little you know of what you say. Volunteers are a great resource and do a great job, but do you think volunteers are willing to do the thousands of inspections that are done for the required state laws in fire prevention? How about the required schooling hours needed for those responsibilities? Why don't you commit to do it?
