Some folks just have it in for public employees. A spouter asked, "The municipal taxpayers foot the bill for the salaries provided to the employees for the services rendered. Why should we have to pay a second time in the form of pension contributions for the same services already compensated for?" Why do you pay the pension of a UAW member when you buy a new car or truck? It is called business. To get and keep employees, businesses pay benefits, some more than others. Good cars or good cops, you get what you pay for. If your job does not offer a pension, look around, but stop the jealousy.
