In response to the spout about the renovations at the rectory at Assumption Church, first of all, yes, the priests should have a clean, freshly-painted "home" to live in. However, it most certainly is the business of the parishioners if those renovations are being paid for by the parish. The rectory belongs to the parish and the priests only live their during their time here. When Fr. Hadyka made the beautiful renovations to the rectory and to Assumption Church he was upfront with the parishioners.
